Catherine graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BFA in Illustration in 2019 and has since taught fine art to students of all ages and abilities. Specializing in two-dimensional mediums with a focus on watercolor and printmaking, she also enjoys working with charcoal, pencil, gouache, acrylic, and pastels. In recent years, Catherine has worked with nonprofits and businesses, organizing workshops and classes ranging from large events at historical sites to intimate classes in unique settings. During the pandemic, she launched her own small business, producing commissioned paintings and portraits from her home studio and has displayed work in local Detroit galleries. Catherine continues to teach and spread her firm belief that art should be accessible in communities everywhere, working to foster artistic expression and connect people through her love of the arts.

Our open registration makes it is easy to get involved. You are free to register for most of our classes whenever you are ready. No need to wait for a new semester or for an annual enrollment to begin.
