Alicia has her BFA and teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University as well as an MA in Printmaking from Wayne State. She has been teaching for over 15 years in the K-12 classroom setting. She is most practiced in teaching 6-8th students, and currently teaches at Royal Oak Middle School but appreciates working with learners of ALL ages. Alicia is passionate about offering students the opportunity for open-ended expression and experimentation partnered with intention and formal design skills. She creates a comfortable yet challenging environment for her students. Alicia has worked with all forms of media but is particularly well versed in printmaking, drawing and mixed media.
